  • Reporting to the Senior Manager, Non-Competition Venues, the Manager, Transport Hub is responsible for assisting in the design, delivery and operations of bus system spaces at Tournament Non-Competition transport venues.


  • University degree required
  • Fluent in English (fluent in Arabic a plus)

Event Experience

  • Minimum 5-10 years of progressive responsibilities and work-related experience, and any combination of education and training, which provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job, combined with demonstrated professional growth and achievement
  • Previous involvement in planning and operating complex events in size and nature of a FIFA World Cup

Primary Duties

  • Work effectively with and support the management team to deliver smooth and efficient operational standards
  • Assist in the Hub's operations to achieve objectives for safety, environmental, quality, cost, delivery and continuous improvement
  • Ensure that operation is working at the highest possible level of efficiency and implement new processes to improve the operation including the use of technology
  • Ensure operations are executed in compliance with established standard work instructions & training plans
  • Work effectively with all Tournament Bus Systems to ensure a co-ordinated approach to operational efficiencies
  • Deputise for the Senior Manager, Non Competition Venues, as and when required

Knowledge and Skills Required

  • Experience in managing large teams and working with a variety of stakeholders
  • The successful candidate will need strong event or bus operations acumen and an excellent track record in planning, operations and stakeholder integration
  • Extensive operations-related training, especially regarding venue transportoperations
  • Project management experience including planning, design, construction, maintenance and operation of transport venues would be useful
  • Experience working with governmental services and agencies
  • Strong management skills and experience leading large teams
  • Experience working closely with various internal and external parties including security, police, government agencies and tournament operations teams
  • Excellent management capabilities and ability to proactively drive operational improvements through changes in processes, procedures and organizational design
