Responsibilities:
• Responsible for the design improvement, implementation of operational systems, technology and procurement process that deliver the firm's services and that produce the revenue and profit for the business
• Envision operational goals for the company, and plan strategies to meet those long- and short-term objectives
• Provide oversight to operations staff regarding all planning and operational delivery schedule, including resource allocation, development of transportation plans.
• Hold accountable those team members assigned to each step of the operations process, providing direction as needed
• Fulfill different responsibilities on jobs as needed in order for the job to be carried out correctly; specifically, but not limited to, site visits, driving routes, client meetings, and event operations
• Utilize technology systems and reporting tools to establish metrics and to measure success of all aspects of the job operations
• In coordination with Operations Directors, control the allocation and prioritization of corporate resources and assets to achieve the strategic goals and to meet specific job requirements
• Manage the operations management team on a daily basis, including providing oversight and direction to team members, conducting annual reviews, etc.
• In conjunction with the EVP, General Manager, implement, monitor, and refine operational delivery plan and project budgets to meet gross margin targets
• Track and manage actual budget development by account managers and operations managers vs. target budget, assisting in driving optimal gross margin results and reporting on variances in coordination with CEO and other senior staff, as appropriate
• Utilize and manage established databases and project management software to streamline operations process from start to finish
• Oversee large, complex projects with hard timelines and multiple stakeholders as directed by Executive Team


Qualifications/Requirements:
• Knowledge of and experience with operational logistics planning and management
• Resource planning and allocation acumen
• Experience with budget development and reporting on actual vs. plan
• Analytical abilities
• Ability to establish and manage operational processes
• Solid customer engagement skills and professional demeanor
• Strong organizational skills, including prior experience managing operations
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, OneNote)
• Ability to navigate different software systems and databases, such as CRM tools and procurement systems
• Ability to multi-task effectively in a high paced, high pressure, dynamic environment
• Ability to think strategically


Education/ Training/Experience:
• Bachelor's Degree
• Eight plus years of senior management experience in the logistics industry, hospitality or event industry, or project management consulting
• Willing to consider combination of schooling and similar experience, if appropriate to the position


Other Position Information:
• Reports to Executive VP/General Manager
• Position located in Frederick, MD office
• Compensation commensurate with experience, coupled with incentive compensation program based on results
